The Brass Eagle “Eagle” was one of the first two semi automatic paintball markers that fit the following categories. It was released to the public in 1988, it was advertised in paintball magazines for months (Action Pursuit Games and Front Line), it was actually sold and used by players, the production reached beyond a prototype stage, players from that time remember it. Unfortunately it has one major drawback, it didn’t work for very long (or at all).

According to stories, 100 or more Eagle semi automatics were released in 1988. Rumor has it that all but 10-15 were sent back to Brass Eagle and turned into Nightmares.
